What if God whispered to you, that if you would only be still in his presence long enough for him to restore you and heal in you what you’ve allowed your life and those in it to damage he would provide you with an epic life of blessings?

Would you be able to do it?

During one of my moments of stillness, I listened to a sermon by Pastor Mike Todd (Pastor Michael Todd is the Lead Pastor of Transformation Church based in Tulsa, OK). The sermon was Damage Goods Part 4 of the Chain Reaction series.

This sermon stuck out to me because it was about what happens when Grace comes into your life. Pastor Todd preaches about how God wants to Restore you (heal the damaged areas of your life). This sermon definitely speaks to what Grace P.O.U.R. is about: Restoration.

The sermon highlighted the following scriptures:

  • Jeremiah 30:17
  • Isaiah 61:7

Points from the sermon:

When Grace comes into your life the following happens:

    • Restoration: Restore means to bring back, return
    • The chain reaction is: Opposition

Healed areas always have the opportunity to be damaged again.

    • Submit to the King always
      • 2nd Samuel 9:3
        • The world is watching and ALWAYS eager to point out your damaged areas.

Restoration always requires repositioning.

Wrong prospective turns promotion into a problem.

    • Ziba became jealous- there are moments we are like Ziba.
      • James 3:14-16
        • Jealousy is a gateway to sin.

God wants to restore you, but He also wants you to rejoice when he restores others.

    • There is blessing in rejoicing with others.

Jealous matures into manipulation over time.

    • Be content where God has you. You can believe God for more.
      • What do you do when your enemy gets elevated?

What I got from this sermon:

When God extends his grace there is a chain reaction of:

    • Healing: Jeremiah 30:17 (when you are restored, you are healed)
      • H.E.A.L.I.N.G.
        • Having Each Area of my life Lining-up Intentionally Next to God’s purpose for my life!

Grace is:

    • Covering
    • Unearned, Unmerited, Undeserved Favor of God!
      • Because of this GRACE that GOD allows/affords me I can live an E.P.I.C. Life!
        • Eternally Present In Christ!
