Do you have an issue with being still?

What is being still causing you to do?

What is being still causing you to realize?
Six months (from August 2018 to February 2019) it has taken me to finally figure out why I have such an issue BEING STILL!
Being still for me is calling me to do something I did not realize until now that I had issue with and was/am uncomfortable doing:
- Trusting
- Letting Go
- Giving Over Control

Basically I am telling (and have been telling) God I having trouble trusting Him, letting go of things to allow Him to assist and I have trouble giving Him control of my life and circumstances.
Basically, I believe in Him, but I don’t trust Him! WOW!!! Isn’t that awful??!! I don’t trust GOD? Or anyone for that matter and if I’m being honest. I have a problem with free falling. I don’t trust that I’ll be caught! What if they/HE drops me? What if the safety net is not there? These thoughts are what keeps me from trusting.
Because of this, I am always busy trying to figure out the loopholes, the WHAT IF’s! I am constantly analyzing every situation, every scenario, and trying to safeguard myself and my circumstances, I am busy playing SAVIOR!
SMH at myself, why can’t I trust they GOD I have come to know? Why can’t a truly trust in who HE is? Trust in His word, His power, and His love me? I have nothing to lose if I would just free fall into HIS arms! I would find more PEACE, JOY and Stillness!
Practice the following Javelle:
1. Lean Not on My Own Understanding
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
2. Run to the Throne of Grace
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
3. Remember God’s Character
Lamentations 3:21-23 says, “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
4. Recall God’s Past Faithfulness
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
5. PRAY for Faith
Philippians 4:5-6 says, “The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
6. Trust God Even When I Don’t Understand
- God’s plan and His ways of working out His plan are frequently beyond our ability to fathom and understand. We must learn to trust when we don’t understand.
- God is too good to be unkind and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we cannot trace His hand, we must trust His heart.
