In my learning to BE STILL, I learned that there are phases to it.
One of the biggest stages is that of FAITH…..faith in knowing that God’s got me if only I’d let go and let God!
You see I don’t like being out of control, so giving up control is truly a hard thing for me. That is why I guess being still is hard for me too.
You see while studying the methods of meditation I learned from – The Keeper (http://bestillsign.com/How_To_Be_Still.html), that there are four phases to mediation and being still:
- Control of the physical body
- Control of your thoughts
- Physical relaxation-letting go
- Mentally surrender-letting go
To do these four steps I have to be able to trust, and have faith in whom and what I letting go to (GOD) and have complete faith in God and what he is requesting of me:
- Be Still & Know that I AM God
- Psalm 46:10-10 “Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
- Move in Faith
- Hebrews 11:1 11 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I have to move in faith as I practice the above 4 phases. If I am still enough to get to know and hear from God it won’t be so hard for me to shift into giving up control.
Instead, I will trust in Him and my mindset will shift. It starts with my true faith in Jesus. Once I truly have faith enough to trust Him, my faith will shift me and my circumstance will shift my faith!
